    Smallish, yellow with pale tip which can look white. Unbranched, smooth, slender and tapering downwards. Either solitary or in small groups, on soil, or in short grass sometimes in moss. Up to 6cm tall. Late Summer to Autumn. Common

    Cap up to 5 cm across. Firstly conical, then bell-shaped. When expanded the margin becomes wavy and uneven. Chalky white with a pale cream centre. When moist the margin is striate. Gills white, distant. Stem thin, short with fibres at the base. In large groups amongst conifer needles. Summer to Autumn
