Cap up to 5 cm across. Firstly conical, then bell-shaped. When expanded the margin becomes wavy and uneven. Chalky white with a pale cream centre. When moist the margin is striate. Gills white, distant. Stem thin, short with fibres at the base. In large groups amongst conifer needles. Summer to Autumn
